摘要

In this paper we present new contributions to thecomputation of the Green’s functions arising in the analysis of multilayeredshielded printed circuits and antennas. First the quasistaticterm of the spectral domain Green’s functions is extractedso that the convergence of the reminder dynamic modal series isenhanced. Moreover, it is shown that by extracting a second-orderquasi-static term the convergence is further improved. In regard tothe quasi-static terms they are computed in the spatial domain bynumerically evaluating the associated spatial images series. Then anew and efficient technique is developed for the summation of theslowly convergent modal series. The technique can be viewed asthe application of the integration by parts technique to discrete sequencesand greatly accelerates the convergence rate of the seriesinvolved. It is shown that the new algorithm is numerically veryrobust and leads to a drastic reduction in the computational effortand time usually required for the numerical evaluation of theshielded Green’s functions.
